singlestitch x uw madison track team

In collaboration with Singlestitch—an iconic curated vintage store in Madison—and University of Wisconsin Track & Field athletes Giovanni Wearing and Elissa Perkins, I conceptualized and executed a photoshoot on the team’s practice track among a small team to assist. I oversaw, ideated, and managed this brand collaboration to cross-promote The Vault and Singlestitch. I led the creative direction, coordinated logistics between Singlestitch and the athletes, assisted with wardrobe styling, and handled photography and post-production editing.

For every photoshoot, once I have a concept, I begin by creating a mood board. This typically combines three key elements: the fashion aesthetic I envision, the color palette for the shoot, and the overall visual style, including posing and camera angles

Editing

Since it was cloudy on the day of the shoot, I used a combination of Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom to enhance the photos, making the colors vibrant and overly saturated to align with the mood board. I enjoy bringing new life to images that might otherwise have muted colors or imperfect framing through editing.

I collaborated with a second photographer, behind-the-scenes photographers, models, and the lead stylist to ensure smooth coordination across outfit changes and overall workflow.

COncepT

Inspired by Avavav’s RUNway collaboration with Adidas, I envisioned placing UW–Madison track athletes on their training track, styled in fashion-forward yet primarily athletic looks. Drawing from the bold color palettes of the 1970s and ’80s, I decided to collaborate with Singlestitch, a vintage store on State Street, to style the models.

OTHER SHOOTS

leopalds madison x the vault journalism team

In collaboration with Leopold’s, a bookstore and café bar, and select members of The Vault Journalism Team, this photoshoot highlights Vault members while partnering with a local Madison business. I secured the location and shot and edited all photographs.

The vault leads shoot fall 25: oo7 shaken not stirred

This year’s Vault Leads theme was 007: Shaken Not Stirred, inspired by the James Bond films. I was one of three lead photographers for the project, and after hearing the concept, I envisioned a cinematic night of poker that included overly saturated colors, yet still a dark, moody, shadowed, blurred, and grainy aesthetic. Each picture gradually becomes darker, reflecting the night progressing, until the final image shifts to an oddly muted scene in a sterile hallway outside the poker area, suggesting the sun rising in the morning.
